Rustic Blaze is an art business located near Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri. It was founded in 2023 by a young man named Isaac (with ongoing help, guidance, and supervision from his parents). Woodburning creations are all done by Isaac.
Isaac is currently 15 years old. He is a devout Catholic. When he is not studying or working on the family farm in rural Missouri, he enjoys practicing Jiu-jitsu, playing piano, fishing, enjoying the outdoors, and - of course - woodburning.
Art that lifts the soul to God
The type of wood-burned art Isaac creates is pyrography ("writing with fire"). The process involves free-handed decorating wood or other materials with burn marks resulting from the controlled application of a heated object such as a pen. Pyrography is an ancient art, practiced for millennia by many cultures throughout the world.
Isaac has been doing pyrographic art for several years and takes inspiration from many sources, primarily the Lord Jesus and Blessed Mother and the great saints and doctors of the Church.
